What is the Humber Sensory Processing Service?

It is a specialist service providing support to children who have sensory processing difficulties. This service is for children with a Hull GP. The Sensory Processing Service is hosted by a small team of sensory trained therapists. The therapists provide advice and formal sensory processing assessments (criteria requirement for formal assessment). The service also hosts a website and provides training about sensory processing difficulties. Referrals for the service are to be completed by health and social care professionals and Special Educational Needs Co-ordinators.  The referral form is available on the website, also on the Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust website or on the Local offer page. The service operates Monday to Friday 9-5.
