The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) and partners recently submitted a report to the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities

The  (EHRC) and partners recently submitted a report to the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, which monitors compliance with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). The report was a follow-up to the Committee’s 2016 inquiry into the rights of disabled people in the UK, which had found serious violations of the CRPD. This blog discusses the assessments made in the report of how much progress has been made since the 2016 inquiry, the ECHR’s concerns that violations of the CRPD still persist today and their ongoing work in this area.UKIM’s joint submission to the UN Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities | Equality and Human Rights Commission (equalityhumanrights.com)
