Do you or a close family member receive a Direct Payment through Hull City Council’s Adult Social Care service, or a Personal Health Budget through Continuing Health Care? Are you interested in working with us to improve the services? If so, you are invited to the first meeting of the ‘Direct Payment Co-production Group’ to start the conversation about making it work as well as it can for individuals.
Local charity Forum is supporting this work and will be in attendance at the meeting along with representatives from the Council’s Adult Social Care service and the NHS Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board.
Hull City Council will be starting a project in partnership with the local NHS to review how Direct Payments and Personal Health Budgets are offered and how they are administered. We want to make sure that people who currently receive these services are involved in the review and re-design of the services to ensure that they are fit-for-purpose and reflect the needs of people receiving them. If you know anybody who would be interested in having their voice heard on this issue please share the details of this first planned meeting.
The meeting will be a safe space for participants and we will not be reviewing anyone’s payments or personal circumstances. You only need to talk about things that you are happy to share with others.
